Frequently asked questions

Find answers to some frequently asked questions about Foren

Security, Safeguarding and Compliance

Is my money safe?

We safeguard customer funds in accordance with the requirements that apply to us.

Customer funds are kept separate from Foren's own money and are not treated as Foren's money.

Is my money protected by the FSCS?

No. Foren is not a bank and is not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).

As an electronic money institution, we don't lend out your money in the way a traditional bank does. Instead, customer funds are safeguarded in accordance with the regulatory requirements that apply to electronic money institutions.

Why might a payment or account be held for review?

Sometimes we need to pause a payment or restrict an account while we carry out compliance checks. This is part of our regulatory obligations and doesn't necessarily mean you've done anything wrong.

If we need more information from you, we'll contact you by email or through the Foren app.

If we ask you for information or documents, providing them as soon as you can will help us complete the review more quickly.

Why might my account be restricted?

We may restrict an account while we carry out checks or when the account activity falls outside the services we're able to support.

If we need anything from you, we'll let you know.

What documents might I be asked to provide?

This depends on the payment, account or review.

You may be asked for documents such as an invoice, receipt, contract, purchase order, proof of address, company registration documents, or other information that helps us understand the purpose of a payment or the nature of your account activity.

I think I've been scammed. What should I do?

Contact us immediately through the Foren app or at help@foren.co. Include your transaction reference number and tell us what happened.

The sooner you let us know, the sooner we can investigate and take any available steps to help protect your account and funds.

How do I report suspicious activity?

Contact us through the Foren app or our official support channels as soon as possible.

If the activity relates to a specific transaction, include the transaction reference so we can investigate it more quickly.

How do I know a message from Foren is genuine?

Be cautious of unexpected messages asking for your password, transaction PIN, OTP, API credentials, or other sensitive information.

If you're unsure whether a message is genuine, contact us through the Foren app or an official Foren support channel before taking any action.
